About the initiative
Dhaka, 14 September 2025 – As the United Nations marks its 80th anniversary this year, the United Nations in Bangladesh is launching a Youth Photo Contest to showcase how young people are driving peace, development, and progress toward the Sustainable Development Goals.
Youth make up a significant portion of Bangladesh’s population and are already at the forefront of change. The contest provides them with a unique platform to tell these stories visually and to highlight their contributions as part of the global UN80 celebrations.
Under the theme “Youth as Catalysts of Change: Peace, Development and the SDGs”, the contest invites youth to capture images that reflect their role in building a better future. The photo contest will spotlight the energy, creativity, and commitment of young people in Bangladesh.
