Bangladesh Flash Floods and Landslides Situation Report #1 (13 July 2026) provides a comprehensive overview of the humanitarian impact of severe monsoon-induced floods and landslides affecting multiple districts across Bangladesh. Heavy rainfall, upstream runoff, and landslide incidents have affected more than 1.11 million people across 10 districts, resulting in 51 reported fatalities, widespread displacement, and significant damage to homes, water systems, roads, bridges, and public infrastructure.The report highlights the evolving emergency situation in Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar, Bandarban, Khagrachhari, Rangamati, Moulvibazar, Sunamganj, Habiganj, Sylhet, and Cumilla, where communities continue to face challenges related to displacement, access constraints, disrupted water and sanitation services, and damage to livelihoods. As of 12 July, more than 38,000 people were staying in over 1,000 evacuation shelters, while humanitarian partners and government authorities were scaling up food assistance, health services, shelter support, cash assistance, and WASH interventions.
