The 6th NSTU Model United Nations Conference 2024
In the heart of Bangladesh, the renowned Noakhali Science and Technology University (NSTU) was abuzz with anticipation as it geared up to host the 6th NSTU MUN.
The conference commenced on February 22, with a grand opening ceremony held in the Haji Mohammad Idris Auditorium building. Distinguished guests, including NSTU's Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. Md. Didar-up-Alam, graced the occasion, setting the stage for a productive and insightful exchange of ideas. The auditorium echoed with inspiring speeches and a shared commitment to fostering a brighter future through diplomacy and cooperation.
Over the next two days, delegates passionately engaged in debates and discussions across six committees, each tackling critical issues related to the conference's theme: "Harnessing Robust Infrastructure and Industrialization for Cohesive Prosperity." The committees, which included the United Nations Security Council, Special Committee on Bangladesh Affairs, International Press, Committee on Disarmament and International Security, United Nations Human Rights Council, and United Nations Commission on Science and Technology Development, worked tirelessly to craft innovative and sustainable solutions to the challenges at hand.
The atmosphere was electric, as delegates honed their diplomatic skills, exchanged perspectives, and collaborated to build consensus on a wide range of topics. Through their active engagement, participants demonstrated their unwavering dedication to fostering a world were strong infrastructure and responsible industrial growth drive shared prosperity and well-being.
As the conference ended on February 24, delegates gathered once more in the Haji Mohammad Idris Auditorium building to present their meticulously crafted draft proposals. The room was filled with a sense of accomplishment as each committee shared their hard-won solutions, reflecting the tireless efforts of all involved. Special guests, including University psychologist Abu Tarek and respected NSTU teacher Md Atikuzzaman, added to the sense of occasion, as the delegates celebrated their collective achievements.
Since its inception in 2016, the NSTU Model United Nations organization has hosted this annual conference, cementing its place as one of the largest student conferences in Bangladesh. Through its commitment to fostering diplomacy, dialogue, and critical thinking, the NSTU Model United Nations Conference continues to shine as a beacon of hope and inspiration for future leaders.
