About the initiative
Memories of Resistance is a solo photography exhibition by Mosfiqur Rahman Johan, curated by Hadi Uddin. The exhibition reflects on memory as a means of documenting and preserving experiences related to serious human rights concerns. Through visual narratives addressing enforced disappearances, unlawful killings, serious injuries, prolonged detention, and the situation of individuals facing capital punishment, the exhibition highlights the human impact of these issues and their interconnected nature.
Presented on the occasion of Human Rights Day and supported by the OHCHR Mission in Bangladesh, the exhibition emphasizes the importance of remembrance, dignity, and accountability in advancing human rights. By bearing witness to lived experiences, it contributes to ongoing discussions on truth, justice, and the prevention of future violations.
The exhibition will be open to the public at the Manik Mia Avenue South Plaza, National Parliament, from 21 to 31 December 2025.
Venue: Manik Mia Avenue
Dates: 21–31 December 2025, open for 24/7
