Bangladesh INFORM Sub-national Risk Index 2022

The Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief of the Government of Bangladesh and the United Nations Resident Coordinator office have presented the localized sub-national index for risk management INFORM, an open-source risk assessment methodology for humanitarian crises and disasters. Developed to be used by decision-makers to monitor humanitarian crises and disasters in Bangladesh, the INFORM localization methodology can support decisions on crisis and disaster anticipatory action,  response, preparedness, and resilience, as well as sustainable development. The INFORM localization methodology has been developed under the coordination of the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief of the Government of Bangladesh with support from the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR). The Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics of the Government of Bangladesh has provided technical support. Along with these, a number of government and non-government experts from the country have guided the process through a technical expert group under the leadership of the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief. The work also has been supported by INFORM Southeastern Europe team of the UNDRR. The result has been endorsed by the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief of the Government of Bangladesh. INFORM Risk results are available in many formats. The Excel sheet contains all the source data and the calculation steps for functional levels, categories, and dimensions.
